As Donald Trump has repeatedly stated, he has no particular interest in crypto assets. The billionaire ex-president made statements about digital assets during an interview with Fox Business “Varney & Co”.
Trump made anti-crypto comments to Stuart Varney:
“I love the currency of the United States. I think of investing in crypto-assets as potentially a disaster waiting to happen.”
According to Fox Business's comment, Trump believes that cryptocurrencies are hurting the US currency, so there should be no further investment in cryptocurrencies.
In June, Trump accused Bitcoin of damaging the dollar and called Bitcoin a "fraud".
And added:
“The currency of this world should be the dollar, and I don't think all Bitcoins in the world should replace the dollar. I think they need to be regulated at a very, very high level. Bitcoin removes the advantage of the dollar and the importance of the dollar.”
