Russia's deputy finance minister told reporters that the government has no plans to impose a ban on cryptocurrency trading. According to Deputy Minister Alexei Moiseev, citizens will be able to easily buy digital money and use their cryptocurrency wallets on currency exchanges.
Russian lawmakers had passed an important law for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is not ready to accept Bitcoin as legal currency. According to Moiseev, the adoption of crypto payments threatens Russia's financial sovereignty.
