Thanks to the collaboration with Zytara Labs, users will be able to access crypto products through the club's mobile app. At the same time, digital collections will be created for Inter fans around the world.
In a statement on Thursday, FC Internazionale Milano and Zytara Labs announced the signing of an 85 million euro ($100 million) multi-year product partnership agreement with the support of the Digitalbits Foundation. The collaboration is expected to facilitate Inter's plan to expand to an increasingly digital, global, and diverse audience.
Zytara is Inter's official global digital banking partner and Digitalbits has become the club's official global cryptocurrency.
Making a statement on the subject, Inter Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello said:
“While digital-first experiences are vital to all sports clubs, our partnership has higher ambitions. By leveraging Zytara digital banking and Blockchain technology, we will be able to increase our global reach to younger and digitally savvy audiences.”
According to the terms of the partnership, the Digitalbits brand will be the new arm sponsor of the European football team. The cryptocurrency's logo will appear on all Inter jerseys in all official national and international matches.
Al Burgio, founder of Zytara and Digitalbits Blockchain, noted:
“Our collaboration will position Inter as one of the most technologically advanced and forward-thinking clubs in the world. We are excited to partner with reigning Italian champions and a club with such a rich history.”
Inter's announcement is not the first sponsorship deal in Italian football league Lega Serie A. Earlier in August, Inter's major rival AC Milan signed a long-term partnership agreement with Bitmex, which put the crypto exchange's logo on their jerseys. Bitmex has become the “official arm and crypto trading” partner of the club.
