Coinbase is getting ready to launch in Japan. Entering the Japanese stock market with sound news in Japan, Coinbase will partner with Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), a banking institution with more than 40 million customers. The goal of the exchange is to facilitate transactions for Japanese investors with cryptocurrency.
In this sense, the Coinbase official said:
“In line with our global strategy, we will aim to be the easiest to use and most reliable exchange in Japan, fully compliant with local regulations.”
It will also develop products for advanced trading institutions in the company's plan, including Coinbase and more. However, the service will begin offering the “five best asset packages by trading volume.” More products will be added later.
After Coinbase announced the opening of a local office in Japan in 2018, it focused on Asian countries. Coinbase stated that it is making an effort to accelerate the global adoption of cryptocurrency, and this move is one step ahead.
