United Wholesale Mortgage, Quorum Holdings, and SafeGold are considering accepting bitcoin.
According to some sources, UWM plans to accept crypto assets by the end of 2021. The company announced that it will first add support for bitcoin and then other crypto assets.
Two other companies also promised their customers that they could use Bitcoin as a means of payment.
UWM has announced its plans to accept crypto assets for payments in the coming months. Once UWM begins accepting crypto assets, it will be the first major US mortgage company to adopt crypto assets as payment.
CEO Mat Ishbia said:
“We are excited to be able to do this (this year) before anyone else in the country.”
And he added these words:
“I think we will start with Bitcoin, but we are also looking at Ethereum and others. We will walk before we run, but we are also absolutely leaders in technology and innovation, and we always strive to be the best and the leader in everything we do.”
Quorum Holdings plans to become the first South African company in this space by offering its customers payments with crypto assets.
The company's legal counsel, Saul Mayers, said:
“Depending on how it works, we will expand to other properties in both Joburg and Cape Town. Tenants can use Bitcoin or Ethereum to secure their leases, knowing that their crypto assets will be held on a secure and reliable platform.”
Canadian company SafeGold also plans to use crypto assets in payment options.
