Coinbase legal officer Paul Grewal said in a blog post that the SEC is threatening Coinbase.
In his post, Grewal announced that he had been negotiating with the SEC about Lend for six months, but with a sudden change of decision from the SEC, he could sue the company if Coinbase moves forward.
When the loan offer was announced by Coinbase, there was not much trouble, but recently the SEC announced that they will be sued if the stock market continues to do so.
In response to the SEC's legal threats, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said that the company is trying to do the right thing and that the SEC is not transparent in its crypto policy.
