Kremlin spokesman Dmitriy Peskov, in a statement in Moscow, evaluated El Salvador's Bitcoin law.
Peskov said of Russia:
“It is clear that Russia is not ready for such steps. So far, there is not the slightest reason to take such steps.”
According to Peskov, cryptocurrencies should not be equated with traditional financial instruments, and Peskov added:
“Associating such partial currencies with financial instruments only harms the economic system.”
Peskov also said the following about the events in Guinea:
“What happened in Guinea is a really serious event that could negatively impact the global aluminum market. We hope that the interests of Russian companies in the country will be protected.”
