Mauricio Moura, director of the Brazilian Central Bank, said that those who transact in cryptocurrencies are not confidential, and that the government will eventually detect all transactions.
The declassification was revealed by the Institute of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Specialists.
Mauricio Moura, after the regulation, anonymous cryptocurrency transactions in the country will be prohibited. Moure said the central bank is working in partnership with the Brazilian Securities Commission.
Moura said:
“I can't say much. However, the names of those involved in cryptocurrency operations will be known end-to-end. I would say that secrecy will not be an option.”
Brazil's goal is to control transactions in cryptocurrencies and prevent black money.
